Les Gets Skiing

Les Gets skiing is justifiably popular. It really is two resorts in one. The Chavannes side is wide, open and friendly and one of the best places to learn to ski or improve your technique in the Alps.

Snow quality is excellent and once you have mastered the main runs you can go into the bowl and then right to the top of the mountain for some fantastic Blue’s and Red’s before moving onto the infamous Black’s.

The Mont Chery side is more serious and quieter. There are limited Blue’s it’s mainly Red’s and Black’s but you are rewarded with some blinding views of the Mont Blanc massif.

The Franco-Swiss Portes du Soleil is also part of the Les Gets skiing area. This immense outdoor playground includes 12 Franco-Swiss resorts, 650 km of pistes, 195 lifts, 267 marked pistes, 243 km of cross-country skiing, 9 snow parks, 400 mountain meadow chalets and 1,200 ski instructors.

The Les Gets skiing area offers pistes suited to all ability levels, Nordic skiing trails, two beginners' zones right next to the top of the cable car both equipped with ‘magic carpets’ , a Wild West winter sports area for children, and numerous high-altitude restaurants.
